Screw auger filler specification details
The auger screw is the heart of the machine, but it does not work alone. Hopper geometry, product level, agitation, nozzle shape and pack presentation all affect the filled result.
For wide fill-weight ranges, more than one screw may be needed. For dusty powders, the fill head and extraction arrangement can be as important as the auger itself.
| Specification detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Auger size | Controls dose volume and suitable fill weight range. |
| Powder consistency | Density variation changes the relationship between screw rotation and final weight. |
| Nozzle design | Affects dust, pack entry and clean filling. |
| Control method | Timed, revolution-count or servo control changes repeatability and setup. |
